Moving Past Pain

Identify how your pain is impacting on your activity levels

Learn and practice specialist pain relieving exercises and breathing techniques, which will help get you moving again and improve your pain condition

  • This programme is designed to help relieve pain, improve strength and flexibility and restore joint mobility
  • Setting personal goals right from the start, you will measure your progress on a regular basis with the support of our Chartered Physiotherapist
  • If you are looking for ways to relieve tension and stiffness, increase mobility and find ways to decrease overall pain levels, then this programme is for you

NB. The programme is not suitable for under 18 years or patients already receiving medical treatment for pain

The Moving Past Pain Programme comprises:

  • An initial 30 minute consultation with our Chartered Physiotherapist to assess your pain, prepare your personal treatment plan and agree your pain management goals
  • 4 follow-up consultations at 2 to 3 weekly intervals to discuss your progress and adjust your treatment plan if required
  • 12 months unlimited access to our extensive video library of specialist pain relieving exercises and stretches. These resources can be accessed at any time

  • If you have been experiencing persistent pain which is limiting your life then this programme is for you

NB. The programme is not suitable for under 18 years or patients with cancer related pain.

The Overcoming Persistent Pain Programme comprises:

  • An initial 30 minute consultation with one of our pain specialists to assess your pain condition and ensure you are properly informed before you proceed with the full programme
  • A 60 minute pain assessment to prepare your personalised treatment plan and agree realistic pain management goals. You will learn about the choices in relation to your pain and techniques that will help you manage your pain more effectively. You will gain an understanding of potential setbacks and how to deal with them
  • 4 in-depth consultations at 2 to 3 weekly intervals to explore your condition from different perspectives; your physical and mental health, your ability to cope with stress, your diet and your medications
  • 12 months unlimited access to our easy-to-follow, extensive pain management resources, to include short, daily activities for your mind and body. These resources can be accessed at any time and are designed to be controlled and managed by you

Following spinal surgery I suffered daily nerve pain, stiffness and discomfort. I was a little sceptical of the course at first as I already did yoga. I was very pleasantly surprised. The course was tailored to me, every single exercise helped and 8 weeks later I was pain free! I still am but I have worked the routines into my daily life. Absolutely amazing service. I'm so impressed by the results. I can't recommend this highly enough. The Moving Passed Pain Course changed my life. I had previously thought I would always have to live with that pain, I'm so happy that's not the case.

I have been a patient on the Moving Past Pain programme. Strained my shoulder last summer and it became increasingly painful over the following months. Started the programme in February and within 2 months I’d stopped being woken up at night by the discomfort and I was using my arm and shoulder as usual. The regular catch up sessions motivated me to do the exercises and I found the online videos very easy to follow. Much better than trying to work it out from diagrams on a piece of paper. Thanks very much. I’d recommend this programme to anyone trying to shift a MSK related persistent pain problem. I’ve now got a good range of easy stretches I do daily for about 10 mins that keeps me pain free and flexible.
